Waiting on WEDNESDAY: January New Releases (part 2)
Here are a few more books coming out this month. The new Magic Tree House is anxiously anticipated in our house. I think these are the first books my son was really reading on his own and he really connected with them.
The G.A. McKevett book is the latest in a series. I remember the first time I read a book from this series - I picked one up from the middle of the series at an airport to read on a plane. I enjoyed it so much I came back and checked every book out from the library and have been reading them ever since. This is a series I wish I had bought - I really enjoy the characters.
Finally, Across the Universe is one I have been hearing about from a variety of sources, so I am eager to see if it can live up to the hype - I hope it can.

Waiting on WEDNESDAY
As I prepare to move my calendar to May, these are some of the books I am looking forward to.
The Sisters Grimm series is a great fairy tale twist that I have thoroughly enjoyed over the last few years. Earlene Fowler writes a great mystery series (as well as some good stand alones) that continues this May in State Fair. We are all about LEGOs at our house, too, so I am curious to check out this new book about the great building toy. And the Lunch Lady superhero has a new graphic novel out this May.
Some other titles coming out this May includeThe Cat, The Professor and the Poison: A Cats in Trouble Mystery
, Photo, Snap, Shot: A Kiki Lowenstein Scrap-N-Craft Mystery (Kiki Lowenstein Scrap-N-Craft Mysteries)
, The Sisters Eight Book 5: Marcia's Madness
and a non-book from a related realm, LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4
for the Wii. May is going to be a great month!

Waiting on WEDNESDAY - Coming Soon for March 2010
These are some of the new releases I am looking forward to in March of 2010.
The first is a graphic novel from the re-booted Star Trek movie that came out in 2009. The cupcake, donut and tattoo mysteries are series I haven't read yet but would like to try.

Waiting on Wednesday - Coming Soon for February 2010
One of the ways I keep track of books is with a small notebook that fits in my purse. In it, I track books from favorite authors that are coming out later in the year. Each page is for a different month. Here are some of the books I am waiting for in February 2010.
The Kate Collins and Kate Carlisle books are part of series I already read and enjoy. The other three are either new books, or the latest book in a series I want to check out. It's interesting to me that all of these are mysteries. I have been trying to get back into my mystery reading mode lately, and I am glad to be back to them. Mysteries and books for kids are my favorite things to read.
