Our family is on a How to Train Your Dragon kick lately, and I discovered this book by the same author at our local library.
This is the same Hiccup - timid Viking, son of Stoick the Vast - as in the Dragon series. In this book, Hiccup is supposed to go on his first voyage on the sea and he is a little nervous. His father tells him that Vikings are never scared, but Hiccup isn't so sure that is always the case.
Hiccup's story is cute. It sticks with the "character" of Hiccup from the movie - how he tries to stay true to himself and how he tries to figure out where he fits into Viking culture.
