Summary
A girl named Dorothy, who loved books and loved people, decided to become a librarian. She dreamed of working in a fine brick building in the center of town - just like the library where she grew up. The girl went to school, but she also fell in love and moved to a rural community with no library. So Dorothy becomes a roving librarian in a bookmobile. [Based on a true story.]
Review
I appreciated Dorothy's honest emotions in this book - she was disappointed that her dream wasn't becoming a reality. Touching story of the lives she touched, the love of books she encouraged, and the difference she made in her community. Beautiful! I want to be Dorothy and connect with people over books like she did.
5 out of 5 stars
