HOW DO YOU HUG A PORCUPINE? by Laurie Isop

This was another picture book in our school's fall book fair, and I loved this one, too. I could read this one to the preschoolers that came to the fair and it wasn't too long or too hard for them to understand. But the cuteness factor helped it work with older students too.

Each page shows a child hugging an animal - a cow, a giraffe, an elephant, a bunny - and laments the problems of trying to hug a porcupine. Very sweet!
