MONDAY: Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins

Summary
Katniss is the Mockingjay - the pawn of District 13 and the symbol of the rebellion sweeping the districts. Kat is sick and tired of being played by one side or the other. She is tired of games that only lead to death and destruction. She is tired of lies and pretending. While she has her family, she has lost her freedom. She has lost Peeta, who is held in the Capital. What more could they possibly want from her?

Review
Sorry the summary sounds so dark and dreary, but this is a dark and dreary story. Kat has lost so much. She has been manipulated by so many. This is a very well-written and well-developed story. But it isn't a "happy" story. This is the final battle and it will be a bloody one. Fans of the first two will want to finish the trilogy.

4 out of 5 stars

Cautions: This is war. There are fatalities and some of them are gruesome.
