Summary
Graphic novel about an amoeba and his friends, with a bullying theme. Great science-related terms and concepts including a "great" experiment at the end of the book.
Review
Squish really has to be seen to be appreciated. This comes from the authors of the Babymouse series. Same graphic fun - less pink! My son really enjoyed the book and can't wait to read more in the series. I did find it interesting that Squish doesn't really resolve his bullying problem himself in the end. That may set up future story lines dealing with this very real problem for kids.
3 out of 5 stars
Recommended for: boys and girls ages 7 and up, graphic novel fans, librarians and teachers building a collection of graphic novels
Cautions: none (well, maybe that experiment part)
