Cadence and her sisters work for the FBI and these days they are hunting down a serial killer. One thing most people don't realize about Cadence, though, is that she and her "sisters" share a body. Cadence has dissociative identity disorder (multiple personalities). The three sisters serve have served different purposes in getting Cadence through a horrible childhood, and now they serve different purposes in solving crimes. The weird thing about this crime is its focus on the number three - something that makes Cadence think the murders might have something to do with her.
I posted a week ago that I wanted to read this, and I finally carved out the time to do so, and I am glad I did. The author does an amazing job with the transitions from personality to personality, the time lapses for Cadence when one of her sisters takes over, and with the backstory of Cadence's condition. The story is dark - both Cadence's story and the serial killer portions, but the quirkiness of Cadence's situation lightens things. Language and violence might bother some readers. Set up is there for further books and the author alludes to a trilogy in her acknowledgments. I would read the rest of Cadence's adventures, if only to see how she and her sisters sort out their own story while they track down killers and criminals.
I am a lover of books; I can't get enough of them. Come check out my recommendations for readers of all ages! I hope you find some new reading treasures for you and your family here. Three star books are good, four star books are great, five star books are outstanding. In general, if I didn't like it, I don't even blog about it. Recommendations are based on my personal opinions, and cautions are listed for the sake of sensitive and/or younger readers.
