I am a lover of books; I can't get enough of them. Come check out my recommendations for readers of all ages! I hope you find some new reading treasures for you and your family here. Three star books are good, four star books are great, five star books are outstanding. In general, if I didn't like it, I don't even blog about it. Recommendations are based on my personal opinions, and cautions are listed for the sake of sensitive and/or younger readers.

FRIDAY: Joanna Carl Chocoholic Series
Joanna Carl writes the Chocoholics series - a set of mysteries with chocolate as the "theme." How can you go wrong? These mysteries star Lee McKinney (Woodyard) who works with her aunt in the family chocolate shop in a small tourist town/resort town in Michigan. Each book highlights a different shaped chocolate - chocolate cats, dogs, frogs, bears, etc. and each one includes chocolate trivia. The mysteries are good and the primary characters are likable. The latest story has Lee helping with an "underground railroad" that hides women from abusive spouses/significant others. One woman in particular is hiding out at the chocolate shop (or Chocolade), but someone seems to have found her and bodies start to pile up. Check out this great mystery series with your favorite sort of chocolate nearby!

Right now, we're running a $3,000 Tournament and we'll be offering contract work to the best entries. Why not try The Phantom Tollbooth?
