Max Barnett is writing a story about a girl named Chloe and a lion. But the illustrator, Adam Rex, thinks a dragon would be cooler a lion. Poor Chloe is left in the lurch as author and illustrator fight over who's in charge of the story.
4.5 out of 5 stars
What a fun story! Great text for talking about the roles of the author and the illustrator in a light, fun way. I will definitely be using this with my writing students and also with my library students when we talk about authors and illustrators. I'm thinking 2nd graders and older would get the most from this story in a classroom/library setting.
I am a lover of books; I can't get enough of them. Come check out my recommendations for readers of all ages! I hope you find some new reading treasures for you and your family here. Three star books are good, four star books are great, five star books are outstanding. In general, if I didn't like it, I don't even blog about it. Recommendations are based on my personal opinions, and cautions are listed for the sake of sensitive and/or younger readers.
